Directors serves as the chief volunteer leader of the transitional home, guiding the board in fulfilling its governance responsibilities and ensuring the organization remains mission‑focused, ethical, and effective. The Board Chair provides strategic leadership, supports the house manager, and helps cultivate a strong, engaged board that advances the organization’s work with individuals in crisis. This role requires a balance of compassion, accountability, and high‑level oversight.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated leadership experience in nonprofit governance, business, ministry, social services, or related fields.
- Strong communication, facilitation, and relationship‑building skills.
- Commitment to the mission of supporting individuals in crisis with dignity, structure, and compassion.
- Ability to lead with integrity, fairness, and sound judgment.
- Willingness to dedicate time, expertise, and advocacy to the organization.
