Tabitha Hougabook obtained her Minister of Music license in 2009 at Total Faith Global Ministries, located in Jonesboro, Georgia, under the guidance of her mother, Apostle Tracie Hougabook. At the young age of 11, Tabitha was introduced to the keyboard by her mother, who anointed her hands and taught her to embrace the musical gifts bestowed upon her by God. Throughout her time at Total Faith, Tabitha flourished as a musician, growing in both skill and spirituality. Tabitha stands out from other musicians due to her exceptional humility, anointing, talent, and generosity. She possesses a remarkable ability to discern and harmonize with the apostolic and prophetic sounds within the church. Her sensitivity to the Holy Spirit’s movement earned her the nickname “The Minstrel.” Whenever Tabitha plays or sings, the anointing she carries brings forth a tangible manifestation of God’s Glory. Despite being self-taught in multiple instruments, her expertise lies in playing the keyboard and singing. In 2018, she founded The Minstrel Speaks LLC., where she offers lessons in keyboard, guitar, and voice, along with providing production services. Minister Hougabook is highly sought after by numerous churches, pastors, choirs, groups, and solo artists. Tabitha has been blessed by God with the talent to write and produce songs and music. Her creations can be found on various digital streaming platforms, including the 2018 release “Shekinah Glory” by Tracie and Tabitha Hougabook, her solo album “The Minstrel Speaks” released in September 2022, and her most recent single “Be Still” released in 2024. Tabitha’s aspiration is to continue sharing her talents with churches, fellow artists, and even overseas. Throughout her career, she has provided background vocals for numerous artists, community choirs, and musical groups. One of her most humbling experiences was when she was chosen from a pool of hundreds of performers in a singing competition organized by Todd Dulaney’s Music Workshop in Chicago, Illinois. Although she didn’t secure first place, she was recognized as one of the top ten finalists. Tabitha has achieved significant academic milestones, holding a Bachelor of Music in Recording Technology, a Bachelor of Music Therapy, and a Master of Music Therapy. Additionally, she is nationally certified and licensed in the State of Georgia. Currently, she is employed as a Music Therapist in one of Metro Atlanta’s public school systems.
