Sometimes God Says Wait…

Genesis 32:24-26Then Jacob was left alone, and a man wrestled with him until daybreak. 25 When he saw that he had not prevailed against him, he touched the socket of his thigh; so the socket of Jacob’s thigh was dislocated while he wrestled with him. 26 Then he said, “Let me go, for the dawn is breaking.” But he said, “I will not let you go unless you bless me.”

Sometimes God Says No

Genesis 18:32-33 Then he said, “Oh may the Lord not be angry, and I shall speak only this once, suppose ten are found there?” And He said, “I will not destroy it on account of the ten.” 33 As soon as He had finished speaking to Abraham the Lord departed and Abraham returned to his place.

The Lord was with Joseph, so he became a successful man… 3 Now his master saw that the Lord was with him and how the Lord caused all that he did to prosper in his hand. 21 But the Lord was with Joseph and extended kindness to him… 23 The chief jailer did not supervise anything under Joseph’s charge because the Lord was with him; and whatever he did, the Lord made to prosper.
